ATT 19
An old Chinese school housed in a 120-year-old building has been turned into a multi-purpose art and retail hub. It is an outstanding example of tasteful regeneration of a heritage building.
HONG SIENG KONG
Hong Sieng Kong is a beautifully restored compound sprawling across six buildings sitting on 1600 sq.m. of land on the Chinatown riverfront. A gallery inside displays rare Chinese antiques furniture and artefacts.
CHAROEN43 ART & EATERY
A new space located in an old shophouse on Charoen Krung Road, at the beginning of Soi43, now houses a bakery/cafe, a 90’s bar for music lovers, a cycling club and is the center for many other creative activities.
VHILS GRAFITI ART
Outstanding wall carving by renowned Portuguese artist, Alexandre Farto, a.k.a. Vhils. Part of his Scratching the Surface project back in 2017, the mural features his groundbreaking bas-relief carving technique on the wall of the Portuguese Embassy.
Grand Postal Building
This historical landmark in Bang Rak district built in 1940 on the former grounds of the British legation in “brutalist” art deco style, has become a popular spot for taking photos, and even now still houses a post office.
TCDC
Located on the 5th floor of Grand Postal Building, TCDC houses the biggest design library in Thailand. It is open to members only but the entry fee for a 1-day visitor is 100THB. Or you can go up to get coffee and a snack and enjoy the panoramic view of the city for free!
Mother Roaster
Hidden hipster coffee shop in Talad Noi owned by 70 year-old grandma barista. The café is on the second floor of an old shophouse above piles of spare parts. You have to carefully climb up a flight of narrow stairs to reach it!
CHAROENKRUNG32 STREET ART
Thanks to the Bukruk festival back in 2016, the faded walls on both sides at Charoenkrung Soi 32 are covered in electrifying artworks from many influential local and international graffiti artists.
