สำหรับคนรุ่นหลังๆแล้ว ชื่อของ ‘อินสนธิ์ วงค์สาม’ อาจจะไม่ได้เป็นที่คุ้นหูมากนัก แต่สำหรับแวดวงของศิลปะไทยนั้น เมื่อเอ่ยชื่อ ‘อินสนธิ์ วงค์สาม’ เป็นที่แน่นอนว่า ภาพจำของอินสนธิ์คือศิลปินที่ใช้ชีวิตอย่างสุดโต่ง เดินทางไปบ้านเกิดของอาจารย์ผู้เป็นที่รักที่ประเทศอิตาลีด้วยสกูตเตอร์หนึ่งคันในวัยเพียง 28 ปีและใช้ชีวิตทำงานศิลปะอยู่ในต่างประเทศกว่าครึ่งชีวิต

การทำงานศิลปะของอินสนธิ์ วงค์สามไม่ต่างกับตัวตนของเขาที่ไม่เคยหยุดพัฒนา อินสนธิ์มีความมั่นคงหนักแน่นและชัดเจนเสมอกับเส้นทางชีวิตของตนเองตลอดเวลา 60 ที่ผ่านมา การเดินทางบนถนนศิลปะของอินสนธ์ยังคงดำเนินต่อไปแม้จะไม่ได้โลดโผนอย่างในอดีต ถนนเส้นเดิมของอินสนธิ์ในวันนี้เต็มไปด้วยความสงบและเรียบง่ายท่ามกลางธรรมชาติ ณ บ้านเกิดที่เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของทุกอย่าง

The name “Inson Wongsam” may be unfamiliar to younger generations. However, when “Inson Wongsam” is mentioned in the Thai art world, it is certain that Wongsam is known to be a rebellious artist who lived an extreme life, who traveled to his beloved professor’s hometown in Italy on a Lambretta scooter at the age of 28, and who spent more than half of his life working on art abroad.

Wongsam’s work and life philosophy are the same: never stop evolving. In the past 60 years, he has never wavered in his commitment to his own way of life. Wongsam’s artistic journey is still ongoing. That same old road, however, is no longer as spontaneous, spectacular, or extreme as it once was. Instead, it is now filled with peace and simplicity in the midst of nature in his hometown, where it all began.
